Introduction
1.1 - Introduction
At Dasdak, we know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared on our website, and we take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how information is shared on Dasdak and what you can do to protect your information. By accessing the Dasdak website you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1.2 - General
Dasdak is a social commerce platform designed to help people, places, organizations, suppliers, employees, and businesses connect with each other. To help form these connections, whether commercial or social, Dasdak allows you to share information about yourself and your organizations with other users and organizations. Wherever possible, we have integrated privacy settings and access controls to help you control how much information you share.
1.3 - Scope
This Privacy Policy covers all of Dasdak. It does not, however, apply to entities that Dasdak does not own or control, such as businesses and websites using the Dasdak Platform. We cannot control what users or organizations will do with the information you share with them, and you should take this into consideration when you share information on Dasdak. If you use Facebook Connect to login to Dasdak, then you should also review Facebook's privacy practices outlined here.
1.4 - Modification
Dasdak may modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect industry initiatives, changes in the law, or changes in our technology and practices. Such modifications shall be effective upon posting by Dasdak on the Dasdak Website. Your continued use of the Dasdak Services after Dasdak posts a revised Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is therefore important that you review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes.
1.5 - Questions
If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, contact us at contact@dasdak.com.
Your Information
2.1 - Information You Provide
When you sign up for Dasdak you must provide us with your name, date of birth, and email address. Any other information you provide is optional, and most information you provide can be controlled using our Privacy Settings. In some cases we may ask for additional information for security reasons or to provide specific services to you.
2.2 - Content You Provide
One reason people use Dasdak is to share content with others. Examples include: creating a personal profile page for other users to view, sharing images and videos using the Content System, or marketing a business. Sharing this type of content is voluntary and you do so at your own risk. Dasdak cannot control how other users may choose to share or use your content and information. If you do not want us to store metadata associated with content you share on Dasdak (such as photos or documents), please remove the metadata before uploading the content.
2.3 - Transactional Information
Dasdak does not store your credit card information. All of your credit card details are retained by our payments provider (Braintree Payments) in full compliance with PCI and other regulations. However, we may retain other details of transactions or payments you make on Dasdak. If you make a transaction with another party, that party may also retain information about that transaction, but that information may be limited to your name, email, and the time, date, and amount of the transaction.
When you purchase goods or services from a Dasdak place page, you are granting Dasdak express permission to share your name and contact information with both Dasdak and the place page, including the page owner and any relevant employees. This information is made available to the place page only for the purpose of completing and fulfilling your order, and the place page (including its owners and employees) does not have permission to use your information for marketing or any other purpose unless you specifically "opt-in" to do so. By offering goods and services on Dasdak, each place page agrees to maintain the privacy of your confidential information; however, Dasdak is not responsible for place pages that fail to live up to this requirement.
2.4 - Site Activity Information
We keep track of some of the actions you take on Dasdak, such as adding connections (including adding a friend, adding a watcher, adding an employer, and creating a page), creating a photo album, sending a deal, or indicating you "have", "want", or "like" an item. In some cases you are also taking an action when you provide information or content to us. For example, if you share a video, in addition to storing the actual content you uploaded, we might log the fact that you shared it. These types of activity may be shared with your friends and watchers according to your privacy settings, and we reserve the right to use this information internally to improve our services and provide more relevant advertising.
2.5 - Device and Browser Information
When you access Dasdak from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit. This information helps us make the site more secure.
2.6 - Cookie Information
We may use "cookies" (small pieces of data stored for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make Dasdak easier to use, to make our advertising better, and to protect both you and Dasdak. For example, we may use them to store your login ID (but never your password) to make it easier for you to login whenever you come back to Dasdak. We may also use them to confirm that you are logged into Dasdak, and to know when you are interacting with other Dasdak websites or services. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use Dasdak.
2.7 - Information from Other Users
We may collect information about you from other Dasdak users, such as when a friend indicates a relationship with you or tags you in a photo, video, or place. This information may be shared with your friends and watchers according to your privacy settings, and we reserve the right to use this information internally to improve our services and provide more relevant advertising.
2.8 - Compliance with Law and Other Disclosures
Dasdak reserves the right to release Personal Data in order to comply with applicable law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on Dasdak. We may also release Personal Data to enforce or apply the terms and conditions applicable to our products and services, and those of our partners to protect us or others against fraudulent or inappropriate activities, or otherwise protect the rights, property or safety of Dasdak, our affiliated companies, our customers, or others.

Dasdak may also analyze aggregate information to help improve the site's user experience, advertising, and security.
3.3 - What You Can Do
We do our best to keep your information secure, but we need your help to maintain this security. You can protect your information by being careful about how you share information on Dasdak, and by using our Privacy Settings and Access Control Settings. These settings allow you to select your own privacy settings and control the ability of other users to access your information. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions taken by you or users that you share your information with, so please be careful about how, and with whom, you share information on Dasdak. You should also report any suspicious activity or security violations to Dasdak by using the various "report user" features throughout the site, or by clicking here.
